Year 10 – 11 Physics Summer Enrichment

As you move into the exciting realms of Year 11 you will have a chance to show everyone just how good you are in your IGCSE’s. In order to prepare for next year we would like you to complete the following tasks:

  1. Read F and G in your text book.
  2. Read chapter 26 again and explain with the help of diagrams how our knowledge of the atom has changed from Dalton’s model, through the ‘plum pudding model’ to Rutherford’s model which we still use today. You may present back in whatever form you wish.
  3. Ernest Rutherford, was a New Zealand-born British physicist who became known as the father of nuclear physics. Research and summarize his work. You may present back in whatever form you wish.
